We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on Field Chief Technology Officer (Field CTO) to join our leadership team and drive the adoption of our security solutions in the field.
Position Overview
As the Field CTO, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our security operations solutions are well-understood and effectively deployed across a wide range of client environments. You will act as the technical evangelist for our product offerings, lead client engagements, provide strategic direction, and bridge the gap between our product development teams and customers. This is a customer-facing leadership role that requires deep technical expertise in SIEM, CTI, and security operations, along with strong leadership skills and a passion for helping our customer and partner organizations strengthen their security posture.
Key Responsibilities:
· Technical Leadership & Strategy
o Serve as the principal technical advisor to customers, understanding their security needs and aligning our solutions to meet those needs.
o Work closely with the executive team to refine and execute the company’s long-term product and technology vision.
o Lead strategic pre-sales technical engagements, helping the SE organization to qualify and scope customer opportunities, while ensuring seamless integration and solution deployment.
o Provide thought leadership on cybersecurity trends, SIEM and CTI technologies, and security operations best practices to both customers and internal teams.
· Customer Engagement & Advocacy
o Lead customer-facing presentations, executive product demos, and workshops, showcasing the capabilities of the Anomali Security Operations Platform.
o Act as the technical point of contact for high-value customers during the implementation, support, and ongoing relationship phases.
o Collaborate with sales, solutions engineers, and product teams to address client needs, provide feedback, and ensure successful deployments.
o Help customers maximize the value of our products by assisting with strategic security roadmaps and architecture design.
· Product Feedback & Innovation
o Gather and synthesize customer feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation in the company’s product offerings.
o Work with R&D teams to ensure that the product roadmap aligns with customer needs and market demands.
o Provide expert-level input into product features and usability from a field perspective.
· Security Thought Leadership & Evangelism
o Establish and nurture relationships with key industry leaders, analysts, and customers to position Anomali as a leader in the security operations space.
o Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and webinars to showcase the company’s vision, capabilities, and success stories.
o Educate and mentor internal teams on emerging security trends, threat landscapes, and advanced detection techniques.
· Team Leadership & Collaboration
o Lead and mentor a team of solutions architects, engineers, and other technical specialists in the field.
o Ensure technical alignment across customer engagements and provide guidance on complex technical issues.
o Collaborate with the product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and implementation of customer solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Experience
o 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in senior technical leadership roles such as CTO, Field CTO, or Chief Architect.
o In-depth experience with SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar, Elastic, etc.), security operations, threat detection, and incident response processes.
o In-depth experience with CTI/TIP solutions (e.g., Recorded Future, Cyware, ThreatConnect, ThreatQuotient, etc.), security operations, threat detection, and incident response processes.
o Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS), and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).
o Proven track record of working closely with customers to understand their security challenges and designing tailored solutions.
· Technical Expertise
o Hands-on expertise in SIEM and CTI platform architecture, deployment, and tuning.
o Familiarity with advanced security operations technologies like Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR), UEBA, ETL tooling, threat intelligence platforms, and cloud security.
o Strong understanding of network security, endpoint security, identity and access management, and incident detection & response.
· Leadership & Communication
o Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior-level executives and technical teams.
o Ability to present complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner to non-technical stakeholders.
o Experience in mentoring and managing technical teams, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
