ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril’s Simulation software group is seeking a Software Technical Lead Manager to lead our Simulation Integrations team. The Simulation Integrations team is developing new Go-based service that brings mission level simulation to Lattice. The team owns the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of this application and service. The technical challenges range from integration of a C++-based simulation engine, real-time performance, multi-client (web and native), intuitive UI/UX, and clear extensibility path. Our goal is to bring a high performance, faster-than-realtime, mission-level simulation capability to Lattice that enables Lattice users test, demonstrate, and evaluate complex missions that combine Anduril and 3rd party autonomous assets.

ABOUT THE JOB

As a Software Technical Lead Manager, your role is to be both the engineering manager and technical lead. As the technical lead, you will own the technical/product vision and roadmap of the Lattice Simulation product, uphold the technical bar, and provide technical mentorship and growth to team members. As the engineering manager, you will work alongside other software leads and business line leads to ensure the Lattice Simulation product is utilized to its fullest potential, and grow the team appropriately.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop and implement the product roadmap of the team, in collaboration with stakeholders to plan timelines accordingly.
  • Collaborate across organizations (engineering, design, business development, security) to deliver Lattice Simulation and Anduril software product.
  • Uphold the team's technical bar by performing design/code reviews and providing technical mentorship.
  • Own the end-to-end product design, development, and release to ensure the application is easily consumable by Anduril's business lines.
  • Team management
    • Manage and provide career mentorship to a team of 3-6 software engineers.
    • Grow the team appropriately to handle the growing user base and demands.
  • ~30% of the time will be hands-on coding/independent contribution.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret clearance.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading a software engineering team, including performance management, task planning/execution (Agile, etc.), and mentoring software engineers of varying levels and strengths.
  • At least 5 years of experience designing and building high performance services.
  • Experience in a backend development programming language such as Golang, Java, or C++.
  • Experience maintaining a production software stack with strict uptime and support SLAs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in industries such as robotics, autonomy, simulation, or game development.
  • Experience collaborating with product designers and frontend engineers to design smooth, intuitive user interfaces and workflows.
  • Experience owning an external customer-facing software product.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or an engineering discipline.

US Salary Range
$132,000$198,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
