ABOUT THE TEAM
Anduril Intelligence Systems (AIS) is focused on positioning Anduril as a lead provider of specialized engineering and products for Intelligence Community (IC) customers. We work within the IC to understand their requirements, shape their concepts of operation, and deliver exquisite capability across their problem set. We aim to develop and deploy critically needed capabilities that address our customers’ most pressing national security requirements.
ABOUT THE JOB
Anduril’s AIS team is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with a focus on requirements management and model based systems engineering to facilitate effective design and development of cutting edge electromechanical hardware with integrated custom software. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for technical contributions during all phases of program execution from proposals to key program milestones such as SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, assembly, qualification testing, and delivery. The Systems Engineer in conjunction with the Chief Engineer and Technical Program Managers will assist in building out the necessary infrastructure for Anduril to execute on all necessary aspects of new product design, build and test to include working with external vendors for establishing test requirements and pass/fail criteria.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Establish and maintain traceability between requirements, designs, and tests to ensure the final product meets the specified requirements.
- Collaborate with a fast-paced and quick reaction hardware and software design and development team.
- Build, develop and integrate system models; incorporating inputs from stakeholder requirements, interface documentation, and related design and systems engineering documents.
- Provide MBSE expertise as part of the design team and maintain documentation via SysML models.
- Contribute technical inputs to proposals to include engineering execution plans.
- Perform mission and system level trade studies and analysis to balance risk, cost, and performance.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong engineering foundation in a core discipline such as software engineering, hardware design, or FPGA development.
- 5+ years of experience documenting and developing system requirements in support of new product design, development and testing.
- Experience in architecting, developing, and delivering electromechanical hardware and software systems.
- Demonstrated ability to decompose complex systems with competing objectives (e.g., performance, schedule, openness, cybersecurity) into executable requirements and execution then delivering on those to meet government expectations.
- Demonstrated experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) utilizing Cameo.
- Experience with military standards standards for qualification testing and acceptance testing to include the use of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, etc.
- Strong technical communication skills, providing the ability to deliver critical technical briefings and conclusions to technical leadership, company leadership, and customers.
- Detail oriented individual who thrives in an environment that values effective team collaboration.
- Prior experience working on rigorous certification processes, such as those in medical, aviation, or similar fields.
- Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
