The Anduril Intelligence Systems (AIS) Security, Deputy Director is responsible for implementing and directing the AIS security program and ensuring company and customer security requirements are met. Candidates will interface with all levels of corporate and government management personnel to ensure contract security compliance with governing requirements to include, but not limited to 32 CFR Part 117, applicable Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), Security Executive Agent Directives, Department of Defense Manuals, Contract Security Classification Specification (DD Form 254), and Security Classification Guides (SCGs). The position requires a self-motivated candidate who can work in an independent or team environment with minimal direction. The candidate will lead a team of security professionals who will be required to develop processes and procedures, conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Work directly with AIS senior leaders to properly forecast and meet current and future requirements to meet contractual obligations.
  • Manage a team of Contractor Special Security Officers (CSSO) and Contractor Program Security Officers (CPSO) to execute and effectively meet special programs' security requirements.
  • Assess AIS special programs security needs; develop, implement, and monitor a strategic, comprehensive program security strategy
  • Prioritize customer initiatives and coordinate the development, evaluation, deployment, and management of security policies, procedures, and infrastructure.
  • Provide senior-level briefings on AIS security plans and perspective on government policy changes or events that could impact the company.
  • Leverage your expert-level knowledge of ICDs, SEADs, DoDM 5205.07, 32 CFR Part 117 “NISPOM Rule” and other policies, regulations, and processes as applicable to interpret and implement security guidance based to support the AIS business line and provide assistance and guidance to the greater Security Department.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of personnel security and physical security for AIS personnel, spaces, and activities. This includes providing guidance and oversight for:
    • Validating accesses, processing SCI and eligibility and polygraph requests, processing program access requests, nomination interviews, submission of investigative requests, conducting SCI security briefings, obtaining signed non-disclosure agreements and non-disclosure statements, and other related personnel security actions.
    • Enforcing entry and access control procedures, ensuring the proper functioning of ACS and IDS, conducting regular security inspections and compliance audits, coordinating with government customers regarding inspections and accreditations, managing the secure space (Open Storage Areas, SCIFs, and SAPFs), and overseeing the security education, training, and awareness programs.
  • Support program managers and personnel with classification guidance and other program-related requirements.
  • Oversee and manage investigations related to security infractions and ensure they are properly reported.
  • Build and maintain a relationship with government security counterparts and program offices.
  • Work with IT and ISSO to ensure equipment being brought into the secure areas is authorized and approved.
  • Collaborate and assist the ISSO / ISSM on management of information systems.
  • Ensure all security requirements are maintained to satisfactorily pass government inspections.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work independently in an operational environment and must possess knowledge of a full range of security principles, concepts, practices, products, and services; methods for evaluating risk and vulnerability; implement mitigating improvement; and disseminate security procedures/processes.
  • Ability to routinely travel between customer and company locations in and around the Washington, DC area.

Strong influence management skills are required to provide senior business stakeholders with robust independent challenges and insights.

  • Strong Communicator and Team Leader – Ability to communicate succinctly and clearly with peers, leadership, and external partners and stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to efficiently communicate special programs, security, and risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • At least 10 years of relevant special programs security experience, with a minimum of 5 years at the senior/executive/management level.
  • Specific experience at senior levels in the DoD and IC special programs community is a priority.
  • Cross-functional experience with demonstrated success in leading transformational change in an organization.
  • Must possess current Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Full Scope polygraph.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with multiple IC customers
  • Attended and completed a formal SSO certification training and a SCIF physical security course within the last five (5) years.
  • Experience with DISS, Scattered Castles, other government systems of records and SIMS or other security management tools.
US Salary Range
$142,000$213,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
