At Anduril Industries, we are looking for a Manufacturing Project Manager with a strong focus on New Product Development (NPD) to join our innovative team. This role involves leading the manufacturing aspect of product development projects from concept through to production, ensuring that new products are manufacturable, meet quality standards, and are launched on time and within budget. As a Manufacturing Project Manager, you'll oversee critical projects within our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines. This includes acquiring resources, coordinating the efforts of team members, and leading cross-functional efforts.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead cross-functional teams in the manufacturing development and industrialization of new products. Expected to work closely with teams including, but not limited to: design engineering, supply chain, manufacturing operations, business strategy/programs, etc.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, design, and production teams to ensure manufacturability and alignment with company standards.
- Manage the product manufacturing timeline for multiple products, ensuring milestones are met and projects stay on track.
- Oversee the creation and validation of manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for new products.
- Implement risk management strategies for projects, identifying potential issues and developing contingency plans.
- Ensure all NPD manufacturing activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Monitor and report on project progress, budget, and KPIs to stakeholders and senior management.
- Lead the planning and implementation of manufacturing engineering projects.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage project budget, resource allocation, and scheduling.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams and departments.
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and executive team.
- Optimize and improve project management processes within the manufacturing engineering department.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in project management within a manufacturing environment, including direct experience with new product development.
- 2+ years of project management with experience managing multiple projects in parallel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong presentation skills.
- Aptitude for working with internal and external stakeholders, across a wide range of technical areas.
- Comfort working with data and complex analyses.
- Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. top secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management with experience delivering multiple projects/year in parallel.
- Strong leadership skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, design for manufacturability, and Lean principles.
- MBA or MS in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, aerospace etc.)
- Experience using project management tools (MS Project, Jira etc.)
- Defense, national security, or aerospace domain familiarity through industry or education.
- Experience with or interest in working with visual design tools to communicate ideas.
- Active TS/SCI clearance helpful but not required.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
