As a firmware engineer, you will be an integral contributor focused on developing embedded firmware unmanned aerial vehicles and stores management solutions. This position will involve close interaction with the hardware team during the design, testing, and production of new and existing products. The person in this position will work as part of a team to develop capabilities serving multiple mission requirements including aircraft control, payload sensor integration, and auxiliary system capabilities. We are looking for candidates willing to work in teams with a wide array of responsibilities and flexibility within a multi-disciplinary group.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical engineering, or
  • related field
  • Preferred experience with Aircraft platforms, munitions, stores management, DoD systems
  • Preferred experience with ARM Cortex M3/M4, Freescale chipsets, MCUXpresso IDE
  • Experience with C/C++
  • Demonstrated skills in technical areas including technical firmware/software development support for writing, testing and
  • troubleshooting applications/devices in accordance with accepted design techniques
  • U.S. Person Status is required as this position needs to access export-controlled data.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with the following:
  • Using sound software engineering principles to ensure that developed code is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, and fault
  • Tolerant
  • Coding and testing software based upon software specifications
  • Supporting software development using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques
  • Providing status reports and supporting documentation
  • Working with program managers to identify requirements and deliver products on schedule for highly visible initiatives.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
