Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

At Anduril we are developing unmanned systems for subsurface and other domains that will leverage unsupervised autonomy for the delivery of long endurance, multi-mission capability to our customers. These projects, including but not limited to the Extra Large Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (XL-AUV) Program, require an Operations Analyst with deep subsurface domain experience to convince customers of our value advantage. The Operations Analyst interfaces with external and internal stakeholders to identify needs, then deliver rigorous math and physics-based analytical products which will be used to guide product development and complement our demonstration events, leaving no doubt that Anduril Australia offers real and proximate military capability.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Drive engagement, both internal and external, to discover gaps in the understanding of autonomous platform capability
  • Develop model-driven analysis, and often the models themselves, using advanced modeling and simulation capabilities, as inputs to critical design decisions for autonomous vehicle design, development and employment
  • Collaborate with modeling and simulation engineers to set direction for simulator research and development
  • Develop a deep understanding of the transformational value of Anduril platforms, autonomy, simulation and perception products
  • Effectively convey the value of cutting edge technology and approaches, including but not limited to Artificial Intelligence, meshed edge computing, multi-agent autonomy and human machine teaming
  • Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, including as a subject matter expert and mentor for both Hardware and Software Engineers from differing backgrounds

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with the subsurface domain as it relates to military operations, including tactics, planning, logistics, and capability acquisition and sustainment
  • Outstanding communication skills, including visual representation of complex concepts, processes and data in a manner appropriate to particular stakeholders
  • Ability to de-compose issues within complex problem spaces, working alongside engineering teams to identify actionable next-steps and drive novel solution development
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recent military service as a Submariner or in an Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) role
  • Experience with physics-based modeling at the payload, platform and/or mission level
  • Extensive experience with simulation products such as MATLAB, SIMULINK, or Python
