Anduril is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead and manage all aspects of direct material sourcing. A successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that optimize value, quality, and delivery to support our manufacturing operations. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, cost reduction initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the continuous supply of materials necessary for production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive direct materials procurement strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and operational requirements.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the procurement team to ensure professional growth and operational excellence.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, managing negotiations, contracts, and long-term agreements to secure favorable terms and ensure a reliable supply of materials.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives and implement best practices in procurement to achieve financial targets and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, quality, and finance, to understand material requirements and ensure alignment with production schedules and quality standards.
  • Conduct market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, supply market conditions, and emerging risks that may impact material availability and costs.
  • Implement robust supplier performance evaluation and risk management processes to ensure high service levels and mitigate supply chain disruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and corporate policies related to procurement and materials management.
  • Utilize an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and other advanced tools to measure and report on procurement performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize operations.
  • Problem solve and remove obstacles for your team and internal and external partners. Know how to think critically and engage the right teams to help.
  • Communicate effectively to keep internal and external teams informed at all times. Use the necessary channels (Slack, email, meetings) to ensure stakeholders understand what needs to be accomplished and when.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing direct materials procurement in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful procurement strategies and delivering cost savings.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills with experience in complex deal structuring.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a commitment to developing team members.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, including supplier evaluation, quality assurance, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
US Salary Range
$128,000$192,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
