The Anduril Rocket Motor Systems (ARMS) team is on a mission to build next generation solid rocket motors for a safer, more connected world. To achieve our vision of becoming a large-volume provider of tactical rocket motors, we will develop differentiated products and services that maximize our customers’ capabilities, and we will establish and maintain a reputation of Quality and Reliability.

Anduril’s Rocket Motor Systems group is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team. The Rocket Motor Systems group designs, develops, and manufactures next-generation solid rocket motors for defense and space applications at Anduril.

As a Quality Engineer, you will work inside and outside the organization to define and execute processes that deliver reliable products. The right person for this role has knowledge of manufacturing, product development, and continuous improvement. WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop and implement quality control systems and processes at ARMS
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance
  • Inspect materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met
  • Collaborate with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements
  • Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues
  • Develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements
  • Review standards, specifications, and processes
  • Create and perform validations for tools and equipment

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a focus in quality, aerospace, or mechanical engineering or similar technical field
  • Experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role
  • Experience reading and interpreting drawings
  • GD&T knowledge, understanding dimension and tolerancing
  • Root Cause analysis experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • U.S. Person Status is required as this position needs to access controlled data

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in a technical field
  • Experience as an auditor for AS9100 or other ISO-9001 based QMS standard.
  • Experience using metrology equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM etc.)
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
US Salary Range
$56,000$84,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in all offers; and are considered part of Anduril’s total compensation package.
