WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Lead technical execution from vision and initial design, through fabrication, test and production
    • Create, maintain and communicate product development schedules with sufficient detail to ensure that all assigned personnel are aware of their tasks and deadlines.
    • Define project milestones, lead technical design reviews, guide cross-functional team decisions, manage engineering risk.
    • Coordinate the fabrication of prototype and low-rate production articles and subsystem/system level test efforts.
    • Developing system architecture along with interconnect diagrams, defining cables and wire harnesses that connect electrical equipment within the system.
    • Successful fabrication, assembly and BOM management of hardware with PCB, cable, connector, and component vendors.
    • Support software and firmware team’s development effort with an understanding of component limitations and ratings, sensing, power management, and networking.
    • Design embedded control electronics from concept to production, including hardware selection, schematic & PCB design, board bring-up, and system level integration
    • Troubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid skills using both lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and software debugging tools
    • Work closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional products
    • Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer operated hardware


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience in a relevant field
    • Experience in a senior role leading system design and development from initial concept through test and delivery to customers
    • Understanding of electrical component and system limitations to support development of control systems to operate equipment safely, reliably while meeting customer requirements
    • Experience with data analysis, rapid prototyping, and early-stage customer deployment
    • Hands-on build, prototyping, integration and testing of complex electrical and networking systems
    • Ability to engage technically with mechanical, electrical, firmware and software leads
    • Ability to lead a cross-functional team through design trades while meeting program deadlines
    • High ownership, mission-oriented mentality. Desire to see the product meet the end need of the customer.
    • Extremely organized and detail-oriented, with strong verbal & written communication skills
    • A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture
    • Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
    • Ability to travel as required for test planning and execution

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
