Job Description

We are looking for a Ground Control Software Engineer to join the team! You will develop assured software that is used to control and maintain Anduril’s aircraft. The right person for this role has experience in both commercial (product focused) and public sector (defense) technical environments, and is looking to leverage their passion for ground control software here at Anduril.

As the software engineers closest to Anduril customers and end-users, Mission Software Engineers solve complex technical challenges while owning the end-to-end delivery of winning capabilities. This engineer will work on Fury, our high-performance, multi-mission group 5 autonomous air vehicle (AAV). Your efforts will ensure that the software powering Fury will work seamlessly to achieve a variety of critical outcomes.

What You'll Do:

    • Spearhead validation and verification efforts adhering to DO-178 Standards
    • Develop device drivers, protocols, and APIs for ground systems
    • Integrate new features and sensors into ground control software
    • Develop Human Machine Interface for vehicle control
    • Create SITL/HITL test fixtures
    • Support validation and verification efforts adhering to DO-178 Standards
    • Analyze data from integration and flight test events
    • Support device manufacturing efforts
    • Support operational GCS deployments

Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc., or equivalent experience
    • Direct experience with DO-178 standards or similar certifications
    • Direct experience in safety critical systems
    • Previous work related to UAS Ground systems or equivalent experience developing control systems
    • Strong C++ programming skills
    • Exposure to C programming
    • Background in systems software architecture, design and development
    • Background in HMI development and associated frameworks (QT, etc.)
    • Familiarity with revision control systems
    • Ability to effectively brief and interact regularly with a technically-oriented government customer
    • Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
