Its advanced technology is geared toward simplifying cyberthreat analysis and enabling analysts to predict threats, prioritize and allocate resources, and take preemptive action before attacks can occur.

Location: Greater Washington D.C. Area or Remote

At Andesite, we are building a product suite to supercharge cyber security analysts. As a backend engineer, you will be responsible for building technology that can analyze and enrich large volumes of data to support our product capabilities.

What You Will Do:

  • Design and implement robust backend solutions to handle complex data
  • Develop, scale, and optimize our machine learning infrastructure
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, partners, and customers to understand needs, offer insights, and tailor data systems to meet these needs
  • Build our next generation of data processing and analysis systems

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in backend engineering with expertise in data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or C++
  • Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong desire to protect national security interests
  • Currently in the Washington DC area, able to relocate, or ability for frequent travel 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in cybersecurity, especially pertaining to network or machine forensics
  • Experience with big data streaming technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and Airflow or AWS equivalent such as EMR, Glue, Lakehouse, etc.
