The Role
To serve as a level of technical escalation for complex issues encountered by our implementation engineers, customer operators, and end users, combining engineering skill with a contextual understanding of customer use cases to solve intricate technical problems.
To provide high-quality feedback to our product and engineering teams, synthesizing your direct experience with data-driven feedback from other members of our technical support and client services teams.
To enable and educate the other members of our technical support and client services team by synthesizing what you learn into technical documentation, runbooks, and training
To support the operations of our high-scale customers to troubleshoot and optimize our machine-learning and database generation pipelines to ensure that we can reliably deliver high-value data on time, every time.
Interesting Problems
Work collaboratively with other members of our technical support and implementation teams, helping them to develop and improve their own skills in the process.
Proactively measure, troubleshoot, and optimize our machine learning and database generation pipelines to make them more efficient and reliable.
Consult with the leadership of our implementation teams on how best to architect, develop, and test their data pipelines in standardized ways that will make them more reliable and easier to maintain.
Pair closely with our Engineering team to gain a deep understanding of our platform that you can then leverage to solve complex technical problems
Use data and experience to advise our Product team on features that will make our platform more performant, reliable, and easy to use.
About You
You are energized by solving deeply technical problems, and get a special jolt of enjoyment from knowing that you’re helping unblock and enable others.
You can gain a deep understanding of intricate software systems through training and experience, and use those mental models to quickly assess and root cause complex problems.
You get bored working on the same project for weeks on end, and would prefer to face a new challenge each day.
You’re energized by teaching others and can confidently communicate about complex technical topics in easy-to-understand language
You have experience in some technical discipline - software engineering, database administration, SQL data analysis, APIs, or similar - that has allows you to demonstrate confidence in troubleshooting technical problems in complex systems.
Remote Available
Amperity has headquarters in Seattle and NYC. We are also currently hiring in CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TX (Subject to change).
Compensation
Base Salary: $84,000 - $126,000 This range reflects the good-faith hiring base salary range for this position. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training.
Other Cash Incentives: For many of our positions, other cash incentives are also available.
Stock Options: The opportunity for ownership is an exciting part of Amperity's total compensation package. Every employee at Amperity receives a new-hire equity grant, commensurate with the scope of their position.
