Role
As an Agent Engineer at Amigo, you'll be a core member of our Field Operations team, directly implementing AI agents for enterprise customers and driving rapid time-to-value. You'll work closely with technical power users and domain experts to build, optimize, and deploy agents using our context graph architecture, dynamic behaviors, and functional memory systems. Unlike more research-oriented roles, you'll focus on practical implementation in production environments, working directly with customers to iterate quickly and solve real-world challenges. As we scale from initial customers to millions of conversations per month, your work will be critical for delivering exceptional results and establishing our position as the definitive leader in agent architecture.
Responsibilities
Implement and optimize AI agents for enterprise customers using Amigo's context graph architecture and platform capabilities
Build static personas, global directives, dynamic behaviors, and memory configurations tailored to specific customer domains
Create and refine context graphs that enable agents to navigate complex problem spaces with precision and reliability
Integrate tools and external APIs that allow agents to perform actions within customer environments
Collaborate with technical power users through our git repo workflow to enable rapid iteration and customization
Support non-technical domain experts using our UI-based agent building tools
Use coding agents as accelerators to enhance implementation speed and efficiency
Implement targeted adversarial testing to systematically validate agent performance
Work closely with Agent Product Managers to translate domain requirements into technical implementations
Collaborate with Solutions Architects on enterprise system integrations and complex deployments
Contribute to our agent creation playbook to systematize implementation best practices
Ensure agents maintain perfect compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in software engineering, AI implementation, or related technical roles
Strong programming skills with proficiency in Python or similar languages
Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration frameworks
Background in building technical solutions in collaboration with enterprise customers
Familiarity with git workflows and version control for collaborative development
Ability to work directly with both technical power users and non-technical domain experts
Comfort working in fast-paced environments with rapidly evolving requirements
Experience implementing systems that integrate with enterprise environments
Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on practical, production-ready solutions
Strong communication skills for collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams
Passion for building trustworthy AI that solves real-world problems
