Role
As a Staff Software Engineer (Backend/Infra) at Amigo, you'll lead the design, development, and scaling of backend services, APIs, and infrastructure powering enterprise AI deployments. You'll ensure backend systems meet the highest standards for reliability, scalability, security, and performance. Expect a balance between strategic infrastructure architecture oversight and hands-on coding and implementation.
Responsibilities
Architect and build robust backend systems, APIs, and infrastructure to support enterprise-grade AI solutions.
Ensure backend services maintain reliability, security, scalability, and high performance.
Design and implement authentication, observability, metadata, metering, and billing components
Lead infrastructure automation (IaC), continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD), and Kubernetes-based deployments.
Collaborate closely with platform engineers, solution architects, and product teams for cohesive technical alignment.
Qualifications
6+ years of experience developing, scaling, and maintaining backend infrastructure and APIs, ideally within enterprise SaaS or AI environments.
Strong expertise with Python, cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS, familiarity with Azure/GCP), Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and CI/CD pipelines.
Proven track record designing secure, reliable, and scalable backend solutions.
Strong practical knowledge of enterprise infrastructure best practices.
Excellent strategic oversight, collaborative mindset, and clear communication skills.
