Job Title: Marketing Content Specialist

About Alsym Energy:

Alsym Energy, Inc is a leading innovator in the rapidly changing field of battery energy storage. It is essential for the world to succeed in the transition to sustainable energy and batteries are at the very core of the solution. In fact, the IEA predicts that 60% of CO2 emission reductions in 2030 will be directly related to batteries. This mission is what drives us every day. Over the last few years, supply-chain constraints and significant safety incidents arising from lithium-ion batteries have reduced confidence in the suitability of the technology. We have developed a revolutionary new chemistry that enables the highest performing non lithium-ion battery in the industry, that is inherently non-flammable, non-toxic, and cost effective.

Position Summary:

The Marketing Content Specialist owns content creation end-to-end, from concept through research, publication and posting across channels.

This role connects external market context, executive priorities, and technical understanding to ensure Alsym Energy communicates a clear, credible, and differentiated story. We are looking for a candidate who is a highly organized agile self-starter with initiative, drive and ability to work in fast-paced environment juggling multiple priorities at once.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Intelligence & Strategic Context

  • Scan the energy and battery industry news cycle for market, technology, policy, customer, and capital-market developments that affect Alsym's positioning and external narrative.
  • Competitive intelligence – track and understand competitors' battery chemistry, manufacturing strategy, and business development across the energy-storage landscape.
  • Interpret developments rather than simply circulate them, translating research into concise, actionable context and content for internal stakeholders and external audiences alike — not standalone reporting.

Messaging, Positioning & Editorial Governance:

  • Own and continually refine the company's core messaging platform, ensuring that Alsym participates in the most relevant industry conversations.
  • Review byline opportunities, contributed-article concepts, event speaking applications, and other external opportunities to ensure they reinforce company priorities and messaging.
  • Adapt messaging by audience while preserving a consistent company narrative, balancing technical depth, commercial relevance, and accessibility.

Flagship Thought Leadership & Content Development

  • Lead the end-to-end development of high-value 'hero' content, including white papers and other substantial thought-leadership assets that establish Alsym's authority in sodium-ion batteries and energy storage.
  • Own topic selection, argument development, research, writing, internal review, revision, design coordination, publication, promotion, and subsequent content repurposing in collaboration with Product Marketing.
  • Partner with external analysts, industry thought leaders, customers, and partners to produce surveys, reports, and testimonial content that reinforces flagship themes.
  • Convert flagship content and timely industry developments into channel-ready, audience-specific formats.

Channel Execution & Marketing Collateral

  • Publish and maintain original content and manage day-to-day messaging across the company website, social channels, and distributed media.
  • Create and distribute the monthly company newsletter, curating developments and company content into a coherent industry narrative.
  • Maintain HubSpot marketing-contact and email-list hygiene, including managing unengaged, bounced, and unsubscribed segments and newsletter distribution lists.
  • Build and manage automated nurture campaigns in HubSpot for distinct content tracks and prospect segments.
  • Develop and maintain product specification sheets, the company overview, industry-specific datasheets, and other sales and corporate collateral, including hands-on design and production in Canva.
  • Use SEO/AEO and generative-discovery opportunities identified by supporting resources to guide content development.
  • Coordinate visibility and logistics for industry conferences, trade shows, and speaking engagements, including writing speaking submissions.
  • Support internal communications and employee-engagement initiatives, including company events, leadership remarks, and branded merchandise.
  • Monitor website and campaign analytics (e.g., UTM tracking, QR codes, lead and conversion metrics) and coordinate paid media placements to measure and extend content reach, reporting regularly on key performance indicators.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in market research, content strategy, technical communications, or related work, with domain expertise in clean energy, batteries, energy storage, or another technically complex energy-related industry.
  • Strong command of AI-based research, writing and marketing tools, paired with rigorous fact checking, source validation, and human editorial judgment.
  • Experience with leveraging AI tools for content development and outreach for Reddit, LinkedIn, Substack, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently build subject-matter expertise, assess source quality, reconcile conflicting information, and form defensible conclusions from incomplete or highly technical public information.
  • Ability to create, manage and use AI agents to complete tasks with quality and precision.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and narrative-development skills, with experience creating authoritative long-form content as well as concise, high-impact communications.
  • Ability to translate complex technical, market, and economic concepts into credible messaging for customers, executives, investors, partners, and broader public audiences.
  • Proficiency with website content-management systems, HubSpot, LinkedIn, Canva, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; working knowledge of SEO and generative-search principles.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, industry knowledge, and professional experience.
