Job Title: Government Proposal Manager

Job Summary: Writer and coordinator of government grant applications – including SBIRs for DOD, DOE, and any applicable state-level applications.

Industry Background:

Experience with technical / chemical / material science companies is important. Experience in the ClimateTech space and familiarity with associated government agencies and policies (LPO, ARPA-e etc.) is of particular use. Experience working in fast paced, innovative companies is a plus.

Key Qualifications:

  • Direct experience writing government grants of this type
  • Technical proficiency in our space – batteries, material science, chemistry.
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with an ability to create, manage and meet timelines

Roles & Responsibilities:

This role will be responsible for coordinating and writing all our government grant proposals. This will involve working closely with internal contributors, our external partners who may be part of the application, and our government liaison lead. This position will report to the COO.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Understand the objectives, programs, and financial needs of Alsym.
  • Draft grant proposals and supporting documents
  • Submit proposals to grant coordinators for approval.
  • Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
  • Maintain records and submit reports related to grant submissions.
  • Provide technical writing support for other areas of the company, to be discussed on a case by case basis.
