Your Impact

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to support the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. This is a hands-on role focused on data entry, preparing weekly payment runs, and communicating with vendors, banks, and internal teams.

You will report directly to the Assistant Controller and play a critical role in the finance team as the entry point into the accounting system, while also supporting routine financial tasks.

How You'll Contribute

  • Review, verify, and enter vendor invoices, ensuring accurate matching to purchase orders and correct coding using OCR software
  • Identify and help resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders by coordinating with team members and vendors
  • Prepare and process electronic payments and bank transfers; support the verification of vendor banking details
  • Keep accounts payable records organized and up to date, including vendor data and reconciliations with statements
  • Assist with monthly closing activities, such as accrual entries and bank reconciliations
  • Monitor and manage the AP inbox, responding to vendor questions and payment status requests
  • Contribute to process improvements, including accounting system integrations and general finance or administrative tasks as needed

The Skills You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or a certificate in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is a plus
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) and OCR tools (e.g., ZoneCapture) is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel
