About the role

Reporting to our COO, you'll be responsible for building out the strategic FP&A function from the ground up.

This high-visibility role offers extensive collaboration inside and out of the company and the opportunity to shape Blaze's ambitious, creative financial strategy as we scale.

You'll be a key partner to the CEO and our leadership in strategic decision making, and to all teams in establishing metrics, building investor narratives, managing financials, and modeling and evaluating key initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Lead Planning & Forecasting: Develop and manage our monthly planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with our broader business goals.

• Own our Corporate Operating Model: Establish and maintain Blaze's comprehensive operating model with 3 financial statements (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet) to support both short-term and long-term planning.

• Financial Modeling & Analysis: Work closely with all departments to support budget management, initiative planning, headcount planning, and financial decision making.

• Revenue & Cash Flow Forecasting: Create driver-based rolling forecasts for ARR, upsell/expansion, and cash flow to ensure financial predictability and support strategic decision-making to improve business health.

• Dashboard Reporting & Stakeholder Management: Oversee the development of financial reports, dashboards, and key metrics, partnering with our analytics lead and external accounting team to ensure accurate and timely insights to help with internal management reports, board materials, and investor updates.

• FP&A Technical System Implementation: Set the vision for our systems roadmap, drive cross-functional systems at scale, and deliver process improvements.
