About pdfFiller team:

We are a passionate and ambitious team of 120+ people on a mission to succeed with our online PDF creator and editor – pdfFiller.

pdfFiller helps over 1 million SMB customers complete document-based use cases quickly and easily so they can focus on running their business. It enables SMBs to go completely paperless with seamless document editing and management from any device. pdfFiller saves customers time by always having just the template or feature you need – from invoice templates to lease agreements and online fax to notarization – always tailored specifically for small businesses. It also securely and efficiently solves financial, legal and HR-related workflows with capabilities to manage e-signature workflows and form response collection one at a time or in bulk.

About the Role:

The VP, Marketing will lead growth of a significant global brand that currently has 1M+ paying customers, 20M+ unique visitors per month and a $XXM advertising budget. The new leader will develop branding and positioning that conveys the value of the pdfFiller platform, both now and in the future, to its SMB customer base. They will partner closely with product, growth, support and engineering to continue scaling an excellent product-led growth motion and customer experience. They will also leverage pdfFiller’s proprietary marketing engine and have dotted line management of pdfFiller’s 50+ person centralized marketing team.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead management of pdfFiller’s PPC and SEO strategies, leveraging pdfFiller’s proprietary “marketing engine”, $XXM marketing budget and dotted line management of pdfFiller’s 50+ person centralized marketing team.
  • Define and evolve pdfFiller’s brand strategy, ensuring a modern, differentiated market narrative that drives both perception and measurable growth.
  • Own the integrated marketing strategy and customer lifecycle management across acquisition, activation, retention and expansion.
  • Own product marketing strategy, including positioning, messaging, competitive intelligence, go-to-market planning, and new feature launch execution.
  • Lead and optimize PLG motions, including trial-to-paid conversion, onboarding, lifecycle engagement, and self-serve expansion.
  • Define clear ICP segmentation and differentiated messaging to strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Leverage AI-driven tools and insights to improve targeting, personalization, campaign efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Oversee marketing performance metrics including CAC, LTV, funnel conversion, and revenue contribution, ensuring disciplined investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with central/shared marketing resources and portfolio marketing leadership to align priorities and maximize impact.

What we’re looking for:

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience in SaaS, including experience scaling a business beyond $10M and ideally $100M ARR.
  • Proven experience leading PLG strategies, including activation, self-serve conversion, and expansion.
  • Strong track record in performance marketing with deep fluency in SaaS unit economics.
  • Demonstrated experience incorporating AI or advanced analytics into marketing strategy and optimization.
  • Success partnering closely with Product on pricing, packaging, and go-to-market execution.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience building forecasting models, dashboards, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Clear, confident leadership presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate strategy into measurable business results.
  • Experience operating in matrixed or portfolio environments with shared marketing resources.
