Technical Activities:

  • Full responsibility for the development team
  • Full responsibility development process
  • Planning and owning tactical and strategic tasks for the team (5 ppl)
  • Conducting regular syncs with POs
  • Informing stakeholders about breaking system changes
  • Co-lead Theme/Initiative decomposition into Epics that meet DoR (delegation, ownership and participation)
  • Ownership delivery alongside PM, PO and Leads
  • Brainstorm potential solutions with the team
  • Active participation in product backlog planning
  • Knowing current development statuses
  • Participating in architectural reviews
  • Responsible for scalability, security, speed and product performance
  • Co-manage team's architectural budget
  • Impacts team's KPIs
  • Ownership of block’s OKRs

Team Management:

  • Regular one-to-one meetings with the team
  • Knowledge sharing in the technical and domain area
  • Participation in annual technical reviews
  • Help sync work between departments (including DevOps, Security, etc)
  • Assignment (approvement) of bonuses

Minimum qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in management experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a Senior technical role. Full-stack development experience is a plus.
  • Coding experience in Back-end development: PHP, Laravel or similar framework, Mysql, Docker, AWS
  • Coding experience in Front-end development: JS, TypeScript, React, Redux (thunk), experience with common front-end development tools such as Webpack, npm/yarn, etc.;
  • Comfortable working synchronously, asynchronously, and in distributed remote teams
  • Experience with owning the Software Development Lifecycle – agile and waterfall, which to use and when
  • Solid leadership abilities and comfortable working on multi-component complex systems and with various stakeholders to ensure adoption/impact
  • Good experience with Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD, TDD, Pair Programming, and other Agile software development practices
  • Passionate about software quality and improving the design/development process
  • Ability to develop a clear vision and communicate it effectively and inspiringly to their team
  • Skilful monitoring of team's progress and ensuring teams stay on track using key performance indicators, or KPIs

Nice to have:

  • SCSS (styled-components or scss modules)
  • Good understanding of algorithms and data structures
  • Experience with Grafana/Sentry/Docker, GitHub Actions/AWS
  • Experience in writing documentation

Main steps to join us:

  • HR interview (≅ 30 minutes)
  • The recruiter shares information about the company and asks questions about your career goals, job preferences, abilities, knowledge, and more. Once pre-screening has finished, your resume is submitted for approval.
  • Technical interview (≅ 1.5 hours)
  • This interview is meant to assess your technical skills and knowledge required for the role. You will be asked questions based on the information you've indicated in your resume as well as questions that will test your problem-solving skills and ability to apply your knowledge to real-life work-related situations.
  • Management interview (≅ 1 hour)
  • During this interview, you will get acquainted with our VP of engineering and Team and will be asked a couple of technical questions. You can also expect some behavioural questions to see if you fit the company's culture.
