JOB SUMMARY
We’re looking for a proactive and strategic IT Security Engineer to lead and scale both our internal IT operations and security program. This role blends hands-on support with long-term infrastructure planning—you’ll shape the foundations of secure, efficient, and scalable systems across the organization. Key responsibilities include managing identity and access (IAM), endpoint security, MDM and SSO systems, and developing automation and scripting solutions to support onboarding and day-to-day operations. You’ll collaborate closely with SRE/DevOps on OS hardening, vulnerability management, and security monitoring, while overseeing both Mac and Windows environments. The ideal candidate is as comfortable responding to incidents as they are implementing secure systems, and brings deep experience in authentication, RBAC, EDR, compliance, and tooling that enhances the employee experience.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of hands-on IT support experience in both enterprise and startup environments
- Proven experience managing and troubleshooting Mac and Windows OS systems
- Experience with MDM solutions such as Intune, Jamf, Addigy, Mosyle, or similar
- Experience with SSO/IDP tools like Okta, Entra, or similar
- Experience in implementation and enforcement of IT security programs, including access control systems, firewalls, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) solutions, vulnerability management, and EDR.
- Strong understanding of user access management and employee lifecycle processes (onboarding/offboarding)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Exposure to compliance automation tools such as Drata or Vanta (we use Drata)
- Experience with CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Microsoft Defender
- Familiarity with SIEM tools like Splunk or ElasticSearch
- Experience supporting security best practices in high-growth or regulated environments
CISSP, CISM, OSCP, GCIH, GSOC or CEH Certifications
- Interest in growing into DevOps, Infrastructure, or Security career path
