About the Role
As an AI Engineer at Accordance, you will develop and ship best-in-class AI solutions and iterate based on customer feedback from our users. You will work closely with our Finance & Accounting Research and Product teams to build optimized systems that deliver value to our customers. We are looking for individuals with past AI / ML experience that are excited about building the agentic professional services systems of the future.
The role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use an in-person work model and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
Responsibilities
Product Iteration: Build novel AI-native workflows end-to-end, finding the balance between state-of-the-art and pragmatism.
Stability: Deeply understand customer needs and identify product improvements, evaluating and improving our systems over time.
Large Scale Data Processing: Work with a variety of large, unstructured data sources to develop our products.
Prototyping: Identify new opportunities for AI solutions based on client needs, and set the direction and roadmap required to implement them.
Evaluation: Design and implement analytics-driven evaluation systems that enable product growth.
Qualifications
Candidates should have 2+ YoE (post-BS/MS) in an AI / ML role. Additionally, you may be a strong fit for this role if you:
5-9 years of experience at a large tax or accounting firm or equivalent professional service provider
Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality work product on demanding deadlines
Ability to effectively communicate with both clients and internal stakeholders and translate seamlessly and effectively between both groups
Ability to define positive outcomes in situations with underspecified success criteria
Willingness and desire to do work in the trenches — e.g., grading hundreds of answers, breaking down thousands of documents — getting AI models to do junior associate work requires a lot of things that look like junior associate work
