About the role

Forward Deployed Engineers are where 1001 meets the real world. You will work inside customer operations, learn how decisions are made, and build software that turns fragmented data into intelligence people can trust.

For products we have already built, you will lead deployment with new enterprise and government customers from kickoff through go-live. For problems we have not solved yet, you will embed on-site, learn the domain, identify the right problem, and help determine what to build.

This is not a role focused on isolated demos. You will work with live data, unclear requirements, legacy systems, and users whose decisions carry real consequences. You will move from ambiguity to shipped software by understanding the workflow, finding the point of leverage, building quickly with the customer, and iterating until the system works in the field.

A key part of the role is distinguishing a one-off customer request from a pattern worth adding to the platform, so each deployment makes the next one faster. The role is open at mid and senior levels and requires significant time at customer sites in the Gulf and beyond.

What you will work on

• Lead deployments from kickoff through go-live and own the outcome.
• Deploy existing products for new enterprise and government customers, adapting them to each environment.
• Embed on-site for new use cases, learn the customer's operations, and help decide what 1001 should build.
• Work directly with clients to understand their domain and translate operational needs into engineering work.
• Build full-stack software using TypeScript, React, and Python or Node.
• Decide which customer needs should remain one-off solutions and which should become reusable product capabilities.
• Write clear specifications for features that will become part of the platform.
• Iterate with users until the software proves itself in live operations.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience as a full-stack engineer.
• Strong full-stack development skills with TypeScript and React, plus Python or Node.
• A track record of shipping working software and iterating directly with users.
• Ability to lead the deployment of an existing product for a new customer from kickoff through go-live.
• Strong customer empathy and the ability to communicate effectively in both client meetings and technical environments.
• Comfort working through unclear requirements, legacy systems, and messy data.
• Willingness to spend significant time at customer sites and travel frequently across the Gulf and beyond.
